"Ugh Demo! Get off of me!" Toby said painfully. I had my fist wedged into his firm chest. I thought it was the ground. "Whoops, sorry about that." He sighed, "So, they followed us I assume." I whispered, "Yeah. I smelled Latimer all over that tree that fell. Its lingered behind us ever since." Kumen squirmed, "Let me check this out. Nothing can stop a RoughNeck." He began to worm his way out when I caught his leg, bad idea. It ripped right at the knee, "Demo!" I let go of his leg, "Shhh " He just about had it at that and started hobbling away when a burst of air hit the three of us, sending us back into the street. "Oh crap " I hea

So, the three of us set out. We weren't safe any longer and all of us knew what humans would do if they got their hands on us: Kill or hold us hostage. Neither was an option at this point.
The journey was long on foot, but we would reach the city of Eagle Claw in little than an hour. It was a human city, but it would make for a nice rest stop until we met up at the rendezvous point, but we would all be on guard.
"Gaw, how much longer?" Kumen groaned. Toby looked on the map, "Thirty more minutes, but if you need a rest " Kumen nodded and clasped his hands together and gave the vampire a puppy dog pout, "Please?" Toby gave in and we s

That evening, after the renovation crew had left for the day, Kumen and I decided to bunk down with Sam. He had been by himself, except the hospital staff and we owed it to him for getting the news late.
Kumen took the bed to the left, and I the right. Sam was in a slightly better condition, but only slightly. At least he was talking a little, "So, have you had any visitors today? Besides us?" Sam shook his head, "No, but Lady Winsor said my grandpa might be coming in. I didn't think he liked me " He then choked on his words. I was ready with the oxygen mask, but Sam waved his hand in front of me. Kumen placed his hands firmly on the

The next day, the construction workers from "Transformation Inc." arrived. They all were tall and seem oddly muscular for shifters. Didn't matter, as long as they did their job and left quickly; shifters are just as downturned as the vampires in the city.
Kumen and I watched as they made their way up the wooded path to the castle. From the drawbridge, Kumen bowed, "Thanks for coming on such short notice. We didn't plan on the tree falling." The one man chuckled, "Oh ha ha. No one plans a tree to fall in their home. Now can we see the damage?" Kumen pointed with a bony finger, "Yeah, follow me." I stood on the drawbridge a couple extra minu

"Phew, that was a long night." I said as our pack set up camp inside the ball room of the castle. I was still surprised that it could hold the pack comfortably. It had been the full moon of the month and we were all tired out from the stress of transformation. At least it only came once a month, but once in blue moon you know.
I awoke the next morning with the summer sun in my face, my Alphas, Lance and Fern, were nowhere to be seen, "Must've moved upstairs." I said with a smile knowing they were quite the pair, my brother and his girlfriend. They had hid the secret of them being together, but we all saw through their masks. They were
